1.What type of foundation do your buildings have?
Most of the plans call for the buildings to be set on 4"x4' pressure
treated lumber with 2"x4" pressure treated floor Joists using
joist hangers. It depends on the size of the building.. Many times we will
change to a double 2"x4" or 2"x6" rim joist for the
floor. We also include information on concrete footings. The price of a
wooden floor and concrete floor run about the same in cost. Whether you
place you building on concrete blocks, concrete pads etc, I do recommend
you have at least 3" of clearance between the floor and the ground.

2. What does it cost to build a building?
I get ask this the most. It is a hard one to answer. I get estimates
from all over the world all the time as people finish their sheds. I am
amazed at the different in cost to build the same building from place
to place. As a really ROUGH rule, you can use $7.00 per sq foot of finished
building. I mean painted and all, but this rule is really a rough gage
to measure with. A better way is just use our Customer Support Form and
request a materials list for the building you are interested in. We will
them E-mail you the exact list from the plans. I suggest you then take
it to two lumbers yards. You can often save $100 to $150 just by making
two stops to pick up your materials. One will give you a break on lumber
and make up the difference on roofing materials, the other one may do the
opposite. Here is a link to our Customer Support Form http://llshedplans.com/customerservice.htm
**NOTICE: WE WILL ONLY PROVIDE THE LIST FOR ONE BUIDLING.**

.3. Do your plans come with materials list?
Yes, all plans come with a complete materials list. Most are broken down
as to what materials to use while building each section of the buildings.

|
|
4. Do your plans come with patterns?
Yes, we realize for most people the hardest part are the angle cuts.
We provide full patterns for all the end cuts and birdmouth cuts for the
rafters and in some cases the upright studs if an angel cut is required.
Now when we say full size, we don't mean a paper that is 20' long. We mean
the full size scale drawing of the lumber you will be cutting and a pattern
you can lay on that board and draw you line or angle using our patterns.

5. Can I make a building larger then the plans are designed for?
Yes, sometimes. Because in many cases we don't use the standard truss
system and because of local code requirements, we suggest you check with
an engineer first. You can make a building longer or shorter without having
any effect on the structure or snow load. If you desire to make a building
wider then you should check with an engineer or contact our Custom Design
Department.

6. Can I make a building smaller then the plans are designed for?
We believe you can always make a building smaller than the plan
design. If you like the style, but the building is too big, it is easy
to shorten the side walls or to narrow the front and back. If you downsize
a building, don't forget to change your end and birdmouth cuts. The full
size rafter cutout is for the stated building size.

7.How many pages are the plans?
If you choose to receive them by Download or E-mail you will receive
between 14 to 18 pages depending on the plan. They are designed to be
printed out on standard 8 1/2 x 11" paper. If you request them by
First Class mail then you will receive two sheets 24"x36". Some
cities prefer the old style so called Blue Prints (because of the color)
to issue permits.

Yes, we work with two drafting companies to draw more plans. We are also
always looking for suggestions from people as to what they think might
make a great building.

10. Do you do custom plans?
Not anymore. There are sites on the interent that will do custom
plans.

11. I am not a carpenter, are these sheds hard to build?
If you read some of the testimonials below many of the pictures
of the shed you will see that people from all walks of life have
found the feeling of self satisfaction of building one these buildings.
I guess that is the one comment I hear the most, IT WAS FUN. Kids
in school, boy scouts to professional. We hear over and over the
plans are great and simple to follow. We show each section and provide
a series of pictures on the web site of a shed being built. So the
answer I would give is YES. Take a look if you would like :

12.What happens if I am half way thru the plan and I have a question....
can I contact you?
Well we have been in this business for six years as of 2003 and will
be around a long time. I don't just sell you the plans and forget it. I
know how it feels when a project is done and you have something to be
proud of. I like to think we provide the best customer support of anyone
selling plans on the internet. We will work with you until your project
is done. We prefer you use our Customer Support Form should you run into
a question or problem while building your building. If necessary, as a
couple times in the pass, we will have one of the drafting companies do
a more detailed drawing or whatever it takes to get you by a point you
may not be clear on. I even had to take the word shed off the name of
the plans so one guy could get his subdivision to approve the plans. Seems,
they would not accept any thing with the word shed on it but would take
any plans with a building called a Garden House. I redid the plans and
sent them to him. So overall, the answer is YES, we will stick with you
until it is done.
